Chase will likely not approve you until you’ve had your own credit history for a minimum of 12 months. In the meantime, it may be worth opening up a checking or savings account with them and keeping $250-$300 in the account to increase your chances at approval after holding the Discover card for a year

@Finnley
Okay, will do.

Do you have a checking or a savings account with chase? This helps a lot.
This card was my first credit card, I didn’t have any credit history before that and I was only a customer with chase for 2 months. I applied in branch and got $1,100 limit with $38,000 Income.
The cashback on it is really amazing!

@Finnick
I do not and I probably should lol.

There’s still a 10% grocery offer on the Freedom Flex for 1 year. You could put all your grocery spend on it and some of your other spend if any places you shop have gift cards available at the grocery store. It’s also 5% on PayPal now.

That’s my suggestion.

10% grocery offer:

@Sterline
Does this offer also come with the $200 SUB?

Just to add an option, you can typically move between Freedom and Freedom Unlimited with a phone call. I’ve done it both ways, up/down. I had a Freedom, converted it to a Freedom Unlimited, and later moved it back to Freedom for categories because my other cards superseded the Freedom Unlimited.

Freedom Flex and Discover do “the same thing” but at different times and the thing they do is very good. Get Freedom Flex.

I want know how to keep the grocery cost at $100…
