Not sure who all this will apply to, but I received a promotion email from PayPal that from December 16 through the 22nd, purchases will receive 5% cashback. You can earn up to $20 ($400 spend). The offer requires activation by clicking the link. You must activate by 12/20.
@Mia
I’ve never opted in/out of anything. I would check your marketing preferences in your settings. You could also reach out to PayPal to see if they can confirm if you’re eligible and get you a link if you are.
Woohoo, thank you for the heads up. For some reason, my email settings have PayPal emails to auto-read so I didn’t even notice it. However…
Is this for transactions processed through PayPal only or do they really love us and the 5% counts for in-person swipe transactions too? To go from 1.5% to 5% would really be a nice boost for the week.
Terms just in case: Offer activation required by 12/20/24. Qualifying purchases may be made beginning 24 hours after offer activation. Purchases made before this time will not qualify for this offer. Eligible purchases made with the PayPal Cashback Mastercard from 12/16/24 through 12/22/24 will earn 5% cash back. A maximum of $20 in bonus cash back can be earned with this offer. Please allow up to 2 billing cycles after the offer ends for your cash back to post to your PayPal Cashback Mastercard account. Account must remain open, be in good standing, and not become delinquent at the time the cash back is applied. Offer may be modified or canceled at any time. Click here for Rewards Program Terms.
I assume it’s all transactions but don’t know. I feel like they would specify PayPal purchases only if it was just that. The email says “you could earn 5% cash back on your PayPal Mastercard purchases when you shop,” which sounds like all transactions! The $20 cap makes me think so too.
I got one for Venmo visa. Extra 3% on purchases up to $20 cash back. So, top categories go from 3% to 6%, 2% to 5%, and 1% to 4%. Also, PayPal Mastercard has been very good to me in saved offers for DoorDash at 10% extra rewards, just throwing that out if you order out for food.
