Do you still have the card? Do you wish you had chosen or been approved for something different?
My first card was the Citi Diamond. Not knowing much about how cards worked, I picked the one with the lowest interest rate and no annual fee. I could have gone with Capital One, but I was worried about interest, not realizing that it didn’t matter as long as I paid my statement in full, which I always have.
I was upgraded to the Citi Diamond Preferred, with an increased credit limit and my deposit returned. A few months ago, I switched to the Double Cash card. The account is still open. Even though Citi has some great benefits at times, I kind of wish I started with a different bank.
Wells Fargo opened a card without my consent, which awkwardly made my credit score a lot higher than my friends’ when I was in my late teens and early 20s.

I started with the DiscoverIT Student card. If I knew I could get approved for other cards, I would have chosen a different lender like Capital One. But back then, I was 18 and had zero credit. Any line of credit is better than nothing.
Wells Fargo student cash back card. After a couple of years, they upgraded me to the active cash back non-student card and it’s pretty good. You get 2% back if you just want cash back.
Bank of America rewards card offered to employees when I worked for a subsidiary. It had a 4.25% APR, which I used to carry a huge balance for almost a decade.
