What is the most amount of credit cards anyone has personally had

I’m almost to 30.

~70 is the most I’ve seen someone post on here recently.

How many do you regularly use? I have 3. Even with that little, 1 of them doesn’t get a lot of use. The other 2 are used for the vast majority of my transactions.

@Jordy
I churn them for the sign up bonuses but my core use is similar to yours.

A majority of my transactions are only on two cards.

Same for me, 80% of my purchases are Savor for food and streaming 3%, and Fidelity 2% for everything else, most of the cards are honestly for online, most in-person cards fall into these categories. Gas is big for most people but I have an EV and basically never use superchargers.

Which cards?

Amex Gold & BBP.

How do you get the flair logos under your username?!

@ProxyCard1
Tap your name from one of your comments and you’ll see change flair.

@Jordy
Regularly use about 5, mostly BofA CCRs. Rotate others occasionally.

Honestly, making sure I get the maximum possible cash back on each purchase is like a game to me, same goes for my credit score, because of all the cards, my credit utilization is like 5% and I always pay on time. I just wish we could have more icons on our flare lol.

@caleb
I just churn them for the points. I travel quite a bit so I’m able to make use of points & credits often.

Walter Cavanagh had ~1500 active years ago, well over 2000 total.

I have 34 open, 18 closed.

Wait what’s your loadout lol

I’m guessing you got them all for the SUB, and now for their passive cashback/points right?

So-Fi, Savor, Freedom Unlimited, Citi Custom Cash, Discover, Bank of America Customized Cash, Freedom Flex, Barclays XBOX, Citi Double Cash, Best Buy Citi, Fidelity, Venture One, Bank of America Unlimited Cash Rewards

Business Cards:

Ink Unlimited (BUSINESS), Business Customized Cash Rewards, Business Advantage Travel Reward, Business Unlimited Cash Rewards, AMEX Prime (because chase said no).

The cards are either for cashback/points or sign-up bonuses (that’s what all the business ones are besides amex).

@caleb
Yeah that makes sense, cuz some of those cards make others redundant lol. Still a really really good loadout for 20!

What’s your end game build looking like though? Based on what you have now, are you going BofA platinum honors? Or maybe Sapphire?

@oddah
Yeah, I would not have gotten the second Citi card if I knew about Fidelity, but my Sofi limit is only $2000, and since that is my card for anything that’s basically not food or something else mentioned, so like I would pay tuition with it and 2000 isn’t enough, asked for credit line increase, they said no so I went elsewhere, Fidelity didn’t pop up for some reason so I got double cash and already had the custom so merging rewards would be easy, but all my money is in fidelity so would rather use that. Some of the other redundancy is just because some of these were upgrades from student cards which usually suck so I just upgraded them as soon as I could, and until I HAVE to get rid of cards to get new ones, I would rather just keep them for longevity and low utilization, rn mine is 5%. I wanted Robinhood so bad to get 3% on everything but I paid for gold for 6 months and got nothing and honestly felt like I was wasting more money than 1% with, especially since fidelity basically has the same interest rate for free and functions like any checking account which Robinhood does not and getting money out of there is a pain and my biggest category is food is already 3% with savor (great card btw!). My main goal would probably be chase just because they are the strictest but honestly, I probably need HSBC as I want to travel and maybe live abroad as I’m a few months away from my commercial pilot license. Will take advantage of multiple currencies in HSBC and use fidelity for interest.

Off the top of my head… I know it’s more than 25, but less than 40.

14 myself and started the year with only 3. Some churning and some optimizing spend. Best ones this year were C1 duo, USBAR the week before discontinued, and Citi SYW.

Yeah started with 7 and ended with 13 plus the business cards, all for sign up, and honestly if I cant meet the SUB goal I just give one to my parents and they pay me back lol.

@caleb
I have 2 kids in daycare so I can meet multiple subs at a time with just that 1k/wk payment :sweat_smile:
