I am 20 and have 13 personal credit cards and 4 business credit cards, though most of the business cards are for the sign-on bonus. Honestly, if I could apply for more I would, but rn I can’t and honestly I need some more time to meet my credit card sign-on bonuses. But there is at least 7 more personal cards I want and then more that would be nice but don’t really need, and some of the business cards as well, but besides the initial credit check, they don’t report to the bureaus. So I am just curious, how many credit cards do you guys have? And yes I know the risks and what not, I have never missed a payment (all cards auto-pay for the statement balance, usually before I even get the card in the mail.)

How many annual fee cards out of those 122? What are your most used cards? And what is your total available credit limit?

Currently 5 AF cards. Only one I need is CSP/CIBP, others I coupon enough value to keep for the year than PC.

CL across all is $1.2m. Utilization never above 1%. Credit scores vary in range of 830-850.

My P2 only has 2 cards to use at any time: an AU card if working on a SUB, or the BofA CCR. Plus one backup card if any issues (never have been), usually the C1VX.

This isn’t really churning though. Churning is when you give P2 a card and tell her (assuming it is your wife), “Here dear, use this card for everything until I give you another new one.”.

Every time I think of closing unused cards I get notice of a worthwhile promo (“Spend $500 next month get $100 CR”) so I keep them going. But you’re right, I should close some of them. Will get more active on this in 2025.
