I’ve got an emergency-ish vet appointment tomorrow where I expect about $3000 to be due immediately. I figure it’s a good opportunity to get a nice sign-up bonus on a new card.
I know most card issuers are happy to expedite shipping a new card, but that won’t be fast enough, so I was thinking maybe I can use contactless payment (Google Wallet) if a card issuer has a way of giving me that access near-immediately after approval. I’m pretty sure I was able to do this in the past at some point, but I don’t remember what issuer specifically.
Any suggestions? The higher the SUB the better, even if the initial spend is more than tomorrow’s bill. I’ve already got a CSR. Ideally the AF won’t exceed $100 unless it’s waived the first year. Ink Business Unlimited ($900 SUB for $6000 spend) would be great except that I believe business cards don’t typically have same-day approval.
@Zade
I don’t think you can get the Reserve without at least $5k… if you only qualify for a $500 limit, you wouldn’t get approved for a Visa Infinite card.

They give a temporary limit when they issue your card via Apple Pay (while waiting to receive the physical card, at which point you receive the allotted CL).

There’s a chance Amex gives you same-day access on Plat and Gold. Be sure to write the number down if you see it after approval.
DP: They do give you a temporary card number, but it doesn’t work on mobile wallet. I called support when adding it to Google did not work and was told I needed to wait for the physical card to arrive. You don’t have to write it down; it’s in the app. Amex Gold.
USBAR gives you your card number and a CVV code on approval, with a reduced credit limit that can be used until your physical card arrives. I had trouble adding the number to Apple Pay though (that might have just been me).
Hyatt credit card is at an all-time high SUB with 5 free nights, valued at up to 90k points for 4k spend after 3 months. The nights do expire a year after being issued, but if you have a plan to use them, it’s a great deal.
I was able to add to Apple Pay right after getting approved same day. AF is $95, but you get a free night every year and Discoverist status.
I was able to get the card # and add to mobile wallet once I got approved for Amex Blue Business Plus. Don’t know if the same applies for the Business Gold/Plat, but I’d check it out!

Do they approve business cards near-immediately, though? A while back I read somewhere (not Amex-specific) that only personal cards are that way because business approvals involve scrutinizing whether or not you’ve convinced them that you do business.
