Wells Fargo Active Cash Card Questions

I’m very new to credit cards, got my first one three months ago as I’m 18, and with that I’m broke. I spent $500 in the first three months for the cash bonus reward, but it says I have $3.82 in rewards. Where is my $200? Does it come from a percentage of everything I buy on my card over time or what? Thanks for any help!

Did you just hit the $500 mark? Give it a few days, at least long enough to let the payments process. You should get the sign up bonus all at once, but they likely need more time to consider you as having spent that money.

@Nicol
Yup, I did. I hadn’t realized I had three days left to hit the $500 mark, so I spent $100 yesterday on a bunch of BS to help me get there. Thanks for the information though!

It might take some time for the rewards to post, but it will be a lump sum total of $200 in your rewards account; it just takes a second for the system to process that you hit the spend limit.

Awesome, thanks so much!

From Wells Fargo:

“Footnote 1. To qualify for the $200 cash rewards bonus, a total of at least $500 in net purchases (purchases minus returns/credits) must post to your account within 3 months from the date your account is opened. The bonus cash rewards will show as redeemable within 1 – 2 billing periods after they are earned. “Purchases” that do not apply to this offer and do not earn cash rewards include: cash advances and equivalents of any kind (ATM transactions, cash advances, traveler’s checks, money orders, pre-paid gift cards, peer-to-peer payments, and wire transfers); balance transfers including the use of SUPERCHECKS; disputes, illegal actions, and violations (disputed or illegal purchases or purchases that violate the terms of your agreements); fees and interest of any kind (returned payment fees, monthly or annual fees); gambling transactions (bets or wagers transmitted over the internet, casino gaming chips, lottery tickets or off-track wagers). Cash advances and balance transfers may affect the credit line available for this offer. Refer to the Summary of the Wells Fargo Rewards® Program Terms and Conditions and the Wells Fargo Active Cash Visa® Card Addendum for more information about the rewards program.”

It usually comes in the next statement period. Look at the terms. If it’s beyond that, then call customer service.

Much appreciated!
