USBAR Card Not Working at PP Restaurant, Why?

Hi people…

I have a Priority Pass (PP) card linked to my USBAR account. I recently tried to use it at a restaurant located in STL Terminal 2, which is listed on both the PP app and website. However, the restaurant informed me that their system wouldn’t accept the USBAR card, so I ended up paying with my credit card instead.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? Did I do something wrong, or is there a problem with USBAR’s compatibility at certain locations? I’m unsure if it’s a specific issue with this restaurant or if USBAR is no longer accepted at restaurants through PP.

Did you mention or did they ask if it was from US Bank? They probably just thought it wouldn’t work since big travel issuers like Chase, Amex, and Capital One have stopped working with restaurants. They might not see many eligible cards these days.

It wasn’t a USBAR card, but I used my USB Altitude Connect PP visit at the PP restaurant in SEA two weeks ago. They asked which bank issued my PP card and if it was Chase. When I said it was US Bank, they just shrugged and accepted it.

can someone define what PP is please???

Did they try to scan your card and it got rejected, or did they not even try to scan it? I checked, and when I’m logged in with my US Bank Priority Pass, the restaurants still show up, but with my Capital One, they don’t. I don’t have a Chase one to check, but usually, once you’re logged in, it shows what’s included in your membership.

I’m thinking maybe restaurants just don’t bother with Priority Pass “Select” cards anymore because they assume none of them work, even though some still do.

Did you show it to them prior? I read you need to show them your PP card when you first get there, not when the bill comes

Damn …I think we need more recent data points (DPs) on this. I always thought that USBAR’s Priority Pass included restaurants, but someone mentioned they couldn’t use it at PDX. Has anyone else had similar experiences lately? Would be helpful to know what’s going on with USBAR and restaurant access.
