US Bank Smartly Weight of 17 Grams

I ordered a new wallet that’s coming in today just because of this card. My current wallet is seven years old and the card has already fallen out of it multiple times. I think the wallet is just worn out and the card is heavier than the plastic ones it’s been holding.

Just FYI, that’s 0.6 ounces for the Americans on this sub.

The gram is commonly used as a unit of measurement in the States. Just depends on the context.

I got very good at grams and ounces once I got to college, late bloomer I guess.

I know, I was being sarcastic. Obviously only Americans are able to use US Bank.

@Mars
Lol, that’s funny. Didn’t even occur to me.

I miss the metal Altitude Go… it had a thick plastic coat so dropping it sounds like the Lego Star wars death noise.

I have the Business Altitude Connect, and I remember being pleasantly surprised by how substantial it feels. I imagine it’s the same construction you’re describing: a metal layer between two plastic layers.

That’s how my Shopper Cash sounds lol.

Bilt card weighs out to 17 grams on my scale.

Others have posted about the weight. I think I saw one with a picture of the card on a digital scale lol.

It certainly does have… heft. :slight_smile:

It may be heavier than the original Savor card - very satisfying. Pretty sharp looking, especially since the Altitude Go is easily one of the ugliest cards on the market.

The OG Savor also registers at 17g.

Don’t really understand the whole metal card hype anymore. It was a cool gimmick when only one or two card issuers did it. Nowadays, I would guess a good many people have at least one metal card in their wallet. If I carried all my cards around, I would have five.

Yeah I weighed it out of curiosity and it was <1g lighter than my partner’s Amex Plat.

Sick of these heavy ass cards.

I have 3 metal cards in my wallet and you can definitely feel it.

Been mentioned already, with a picture.

Benjamins weigh almost nothing. Is this seriously a concern to anyone, especially given digital wallets?

Some people like metal cards. I personally wouldn’t call it a ‘concern’ of mine, but I certainly appreciate it when a card feels substantial.

@garveytom
ngl I actually kind of hate needless heft on physical cards and really appreciate the ones that are thin, flimsy pieces of plastic that do what you need a backup physical card to do and don’t stretch your wallet too hard.
