Two Amazon Prime Credit Cards. One Prime Membership?

My boyfriend has Amazon Prime and an Amazon Prime Visa card that gives 5% back. I use his Amazon account a lot and am thinking about getting a Prime Visa card too. I know Prime members get 5% back, and non-Prime members get 3% back. I want to get the 5% back, but I don’t want to get my own Prime membership since he already has one.

So, my question is, can both of our credit cards be used on his Amazon account and both get 5% back? I heard the Amazon card has to be linked to an account. If that’s true, do I have to link my card to his account only? Will his account allow two of the same credit card (Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card)? Or can I link my card to my own account and still get 5% back?

Also, if we set up an Amazon Household, will we both get 5% back? I heard this might share payment methods, so would two separate cards be okay?

I just want to know if we can have two separate Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Cards and both get 5% back with one Prime membership. How would that work?

You can totally get your own Prime Visa, but to get that sweet 5% back, your card has to be linked to a Prime account. Now, if you set up an Amazon Household, you both can share the Prime benefits, including the 5% back, as long as your card is linked to your own account under the Household.

But if you both have the same card (Amazon Prime Visa) on his account, I think only one of you would get the 5% back. It’s best to link your card to your own account within the Household to keep things smooth and get your rewards.
