I’m looking into the Chase Ink Premier to pay for some large purchases that I have cash for. The Premier catches my eye for the $1,000 cash back, but the verbiage of the offer is confusing. It says you will earn points, and you may transfer for points, which I thought this card was just about the $1,000 cash back. Does it actually earn points? I’m so confused!
The Premier earns cash back, not Ultimate Rewards points. Not sure why you’re seeing points referenced in the offer, but make sure you’re looking at the right card.

I don’t know what I’m reading. The Premier says something about points. Maybe I’m reading it wrong. Do you just get the $1,000 as a statement credit or 100,000 points?

Chase confusingly calls the rewards on this card Ultimate Rewards points, but you can’t transfer them to another card or transfer them to partners.

They are called points, but you can’t transfer them to transfer partners.

That makes sense, lol. So is it strictly cash back then? How does the $1,000 go into your account—do you get it as 100,000 points you have to redeem as cash back or as a $1,000 credit or something?

It’s cash back, or you can pay for travel through the Chase portal or buy things through Chase shopping, I think.
