Thinking About Closing My C1 Savor One What Are Your Thoughts

@Timber
So you went 6 years without using it and it stayed active?

Exactly

I had a similar experience, competition for C1 is tough, so I closed my card and won’t be getting any others from them.

I believe if you’re not excited about a credit card, it’s better to just get rid of it. Life is short for this kind of hassle.

You know you can ask for limit increases sometimes. If you use it and maintain a good relationship without recent credit issues, they may become more generous. I got $300 on my Walmart card after a year of good use and got an upgrade to a Walmart Mastercard with a $2,000 limit.

C1 is usually fine with credit cycling. You can do it if you want.

The only way to get limit increases is to keep requesting them after high usage. Whether that’s worth it or not is for you to decide.

Closing it won’t hurt, but it’s no big deal if you keep it.

Keep it; it’s one of the best non-travel cards out there. You get decent cashback for restaurants, groceries, and entertainment. Everything else is 1%, but it offers price drop protection for up to $250 for 120 days.

Why not just keep it and ask for limit increases every 6 to 12 months? Even if you can’t use it right now, eventually, you may get a reasonable limit and find it useful.

Try to spend more than your limit every month.
