New Best Western Credit Cards - Seeking Feedback

Hi guys…
I recently applied for the new Best Western credit cards and wanted to share some details and get some feedback from those who might have more information or experience with them.

I applied for the Best Western Rewards® Premium Visa Signature® Card and was pre-qualified for an 80k sign-up bonus with a $3k spend in 3 months. Here are my stats before applying:

  • Credit Pulls: 11
  • 5/24 Status: 5/24
  • FICO Score: 755
  • Pre-qualified Credit Limit: $6.5k

New Card Benefits:

  • 10X Points on Best Western stays and purchases
  • 4X Points on gas station and grocery store purchases
  • 2X Points on all other purchases
  • Up to Two Free Night Awards each anniversary
  • Automatic Platinum Elite Status

The card does come with an $89 annual fee, but you get a free night on your anniversary year and another after spending $10k. However, I couldn’t find the value of the free night. If anyone has experience or knows more about the value of the free night awards, I’d love to hear about it!

Also, any general thoughts or feedback on the card would be greatly appreciated. Blessed…

I have the old FNBO Best Western card with no annual fee. I’d love to get the new Best Western card that has an annual fee. Does anyone know when pre-approval notifications will be sent out?

Has anyone else gotten approved or denied? I did not pass their pre-approval form even though I have a 765 credit score. I have 3-4 new cards in the last 6 months though.

Does Best Western have any fancy or upscale properties, or are they mostly like Wyndham and Choice with budget roadside hotels?

I’ve used free night certificates from past BW promotions and they didn’t appear to have any restrictions so I would not be surprised if it were the same for these as well.

Best Westerns are great! If my work allowed me to pay for travel with my own card, I’d definitely get this one.

Man if restaurants were here with an enhanced earn I’d be all over this card

Even the $0 annual fee card has no foreign transaction fees, 2x points on everything, and is a Visa Signature. Both cards seem pretty solid…
