I have, once. My first “big purchase” was my iMac and it costed like $1699 or $1799 originally. My credit card limit was $1000 or $1100 so I split that purchase between my Chase Freedom Unlimited and my dad’s credit card.

Thanks but I ended up paying it off in full and that remains the last time I ever maxed out my credit card.
@Tilden
You can as well refer anyone having a problem with their credit debt limits.
Not me.
I came very close to maxing my Citi Custom Cash (Was about $120 away), at 98% utilization. I could have easily made it 100% but getting a gift card I’d use up probably the following/current month. Except I just couldn’t be bothered.
Edit: I always pay my balance in full. Although this article seems to be about people who always carry a balance that’ll have interest attached.
I’m surprised it is that low. I have maxed it out many times. I always pay the statement in full though, so it isn’t like it matters.
Thank you for paying the rewards. Hope you don’t default.
Maxed out 3 cards when I bought my car.
There was no extra fees and I could have bought it outright if I wanted to so I’m not paying interest or anything like that.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with maxing cards.
