Just got this USBAR promotion: increase mobile payments from 4.5% to 4.8% in Feb and Mar after spending $8700

These deals are scams. Are you really going to spend 9 grand to get a 0.003 increase in rate?

I’ll likely hit it in February just through regular spending.

At that rate, this deal will net you…$27 in total.

@Torrance
But it’s literally free money!

That’s not free money.

In a credit card forum, these point rates are lower than almost any other alternatives.

This post serves as a PSA for those with USBAR. It costs nothing to activate the offer, whether you benefit or not.

It’s free money if you don’t have better offers available.

It stacks with the existing USBAR earning rate, which is already the best alternative.

This may not be worth much alone, but it enhances USBAR compared to others.

How is 4.8% lower than almost every other alternative?

You should double-check your calculations.

4.8%-4.5%=0.3% or 0.003

0.003 multiplied by 9k spending equals $27 for this deal over the regular multiplier.

Are these offers showing up in accounts or are they sent via email?

I got mine via email with one-click activation.

Received mine through email as well.

I haven’t received any for Reserve but got one for my Altitude Go: 20% more points on purchases after spending $1100.

How did you find the promotion? There’s no guide on how to search for it in this post.

My promotion is after spending over $3800 on my USBAR and Cash+.

Where’s my offer??

*drops to knees and screams ‘whyyy???!!!’

Just received a similar offer from Fidelity for the Rewards Visa Signature. After spending $1,650, get an additional 0.4 points per dollar.

I got the Cash+ offer after a $250 spend. Up to $20 in extra cash back. The 0.2 point increase is way too small to be worth it.

Didn’t receive any emails :frowning:
