Help for my next step in my credit card journey

I’m 20 years old and currently in college :mortar_board:. After graduating high school, I opened a Daniel Jewels credit card :credit_card: in August 2022 to purchase a gift for my mom :gift: and start building my credit. Later that month, I was approved for a Discover credit card :credit_card: with a $3,750 credit limit. In May 2023, I opened a Chase Freedom Flex card :credit_card: with a $4,400 limit. I also acquired an Amazon Prime credit card :credit_card: in February 2023 with a $3,000 limit, as my family frequently shops on Amazon and I wanted to earn some cash back :money_with_wings:. Most recently, in July 2024, I opened a Home Depot credit card :credit_card: with a $5,000 limit to help my mom get a new fridge :house::snowflake:, since her credit isn’t the best and I wanted to assist her.

Wow, you’ve really built a solid credit portfolio already :tada: I can totally relate. When I was in college, I started with a credit card to get a handle on my credit early. My first card was for a family gift too! It’s awesome how you’re using your cards to help out and earn rewards. Keep up the great work; you’re setting yourself up for a strong financial future:muscle::rocket:

Before you apply for a new credit card, check your credit score. If it’s not great, work on improving it. Also, only apply for cards you know you can qualify for.
