Extremely Disappointed with Capital One—What Can I Do?

Hi all,

I’m feeling really frustrated and disappointed with my experience at Capital One, and I’m hoping to get some advice on how to move forward.

I opened a credit card account with them a few months ago, and everything seemed fine at first. I made my payments on time and kept my balance low. However, I recently noticed that my credit limit was suddenly decreased without any clear reason. I contacted customer service, and they were unhelpful, providing vague responses about “company policy” without any specific explanation.

On top of that, I’ve also had issues with their mobile app crashing, which has made it difficult to keep track of my payments. I feel like I can’t trust them anymore, especially since I rely on my credit for important expenses.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? What steps did you take to resolve the issues? Should I consider switching to another bank, or is there a way to escalate my concerns with Capital One?

Hello,
If you’re extremely disappointed with Capital One, consider filing a formal complaint with their customer service or escalating it to their corporate office. You can also contact consumer protection agencies or explore alternative banking options if needed.

You can’t hold that against Cap One. That is how any installment account you receive that isn’t related to a personal loan will appear on your record. The fact that the amount is never reported is one of the reasons I enjoy carrier finance.
