Because of how recently my account was started, I was informed on day 91 that I was not eligible for an increase in my credit limit, which worried me. It was still available when I checked it again today. I asked for an increase from $2k to $6k because I know they will soft pull and make a counteroffer; for this reason, I prefer Amex over WF. granted in fifteen seconds.
I recently opened a new credit card account and was initially told that I wasn’t eligible for a credit limit increase due to how new the account was, which made me anxious. But when I checked again after 91 days, the option was available. I decided to request an increase from $2k to $6k because I knew they would do a soft pull and possibly counteroffer, which is why I prefer Amex over Wells Fargo for these things. To my surprise, the increase was granted in just 15 seconds, reinforcing my trust in Amex’s flexibility and customer-friendly approach.
