Constantly Harassed by Comenity Bank

I have been harassed DAILY by Comenity Bank, whether by text or by call; they will not leave me alone. I have been blocking each number and they keep contacting me when I don’t even bank with them. I’ve been checking my credit info & history and absolutely nothing shows up about the stores they’re concerned about—which are stores I don’t even shop at. On top of that, they’re calling asking about another person?? I don’t even KNOW the person they keep calling me about.

Can someone help? Is this a scam?? I have no idea what to do and it’s honestly freaking me out because they have been HARASSING me for MONTHS ON END and I am sick of it. I’ve never made a purchase with their credit cards and honestly I’m at the point where I’m considering changing my phone number. I literally have no idea how this started because I’ve had my phone number for 7+ years and this has NEVER happened up until recently. Is there anything I can do??

Thank you so much!!

Without knowing more about what exactly the calls are about, I’d say this is likely a scam given the constantly changing caller ID.

I would agree that they’re probably scams. They call saying something along the lines of “This message is for (some random name) from Comenity Bank regarding (some random store) please return the call to (bank’s number),” and it has a different name & different store every time, or sometimes they would call about the same name but different stores & vise versa—neither of which is MY name or stores I personally go to.

@Zoran
They’re scam calls. Unless Comenity somehow pinned every single one of their customers under your phone number, these are just plain old spam callers. Don’t bother with a Consumer Finance complaint, just block/mute all incoming calls from anyone not on your contact list, or change your phone number.

Sounds like it could be a debt collector with the wrong number. You might need to collect callback information about them, ask them to stop calling - wrong number, and report if they don’t. They usually don’t give up when ignored.
