Is the annual fee still worth it with some of the reduction of benefits? I’m thinking of Chase travel being outsourced to Expedia (or whoever) and restaurants being removed from priority pass specifically.

PP Restaurants is trending to be removed from all issuers, not unique to Chase. There are a few left, but very likely due to contract timelines.
Major issuers AMEX, chase, and capital one all removed it while the smaller PP issuers Citi, Bank of America, US Bank, etc. still offer it.
@Cass
There are a few DPs coming out that even with the US Bank AR, they were turned away. Perhaps it’s just specific cases, but just saying it’s not coincidence that the other issuers have all decided to drop that perk. I think it’s more pressure from The Collinson Group.
Also which Citi card offers PP? I wasn’t aware they had one.
@Tal
Citi prestige, no longer offered and I’m not sure if they allow you to product change to it but plenty of people still had it.
As for the US Bank turn always, I’m not convinced it wasn’t just bad training, they assumed there was no card that had it. I’m not sure it was US Bank specific
@Tal
If you try to use it and it’s not covered, I believe it will just give you a $28 credit and charge your linked card $28. I’ve never tried for obvious reasons.

Not only that, CSR added Air Canada lounges, which is a huge addition for the 100+ million people a year that fly out of LAX+SFO (not to mention the other airports without reliable PP lounges that it covers).
One of the big benefits from chase reserve is the travel insurance. From what I’ve read it’s much better than most with the exception of Amex Plat. However, I don’t know how they can expect to keep cutting benefits and keep the same price. They really need to overhaul the card.
@Taliesin
As far as I know, the CSR benefits include a little bit of travel medical insurance up to $2500 and respectable emergency evacuation insurance up to $100,000. If I’m not mistaken, Amex Platinum doesn’t have any of that. If it does have it I’m interested in knowing, especially if the coverage is better.
@Taliesin
Didn’t they cut one trip cancellation benefit on all Chase cards recently? Think there was a frequent miler post and podcast about it this past week.

I believe that’s only if the trip is partially paid with the CSR. If you fully pay with that card, you should still get the benefits.

Agreed! The United card (also Chase) seems to have similar travel insurance at least for rental cars.
The United explorer and quest cards I believe have very similar benefits in that regard to the preferred (still very very good). I’m unsure if the United club infinite is on the same level as the sapphire reserve or not.
