Just a heads up, Amazon is offering 7% back on no-rush shipping (eligible items) with your Chase Prime card for their deals on October 8-9.
I think they offer this pretty often, but it’s good to know you can hopefully save and get some extra cash back.

I think they are trying to compete with Discover because this quarter’s 5% category is Amazon and Target

Unfortunately, I’m not really buying anything on their Amazon deal days. So this won’t benefit me unless I magically need something. But it might interest others who don’t have a Discover category to max out. Plus I’m still in my first year with Discover, so they match at the end of the year.
I always get 6% back for no rush, so it’s nice to see an extra percent on there.

Hopefully it helps someone out!
I was wondering how strict Chase is with the 5/24 rule for the Prime Visa. I got $150 off right now, but I do remember seeing offers for $200 or even up to $250 during Prime days.

Not strict. I got it while I was at 5/24 because of the $200 gift card during Prime day.
@Perrin
Yeah, I wanted to get a few things, but I figured I’d wait until Prime day to see if they’ll increase the promo to $200.

I figured the inquiry was worth it even if I got denied, considering the increased promo and it being co-branded.
@Perrin
Yeah, totally agree. Although I’ve been denied for the Amazon Visa every time I applied. My credit history is less than 2 years, and even though my utilization is low, I’m still kind of skeptical about getting approved.

I believe it’s expected to go to $200 tomorrow for Prime day.
