Changes to the AAA Daily Advantage card

I received an email about this card that I have. In the footnotes I saw this:

> … 3Maximum of $350 USD in cash back in a calendar year on the 5% category, and earn 1% cash back on all net eligible purchases afterwards…

Didn’t this card used to have a maximum $500 per year reward limit for groceries?
So now the reward spend is dropping from 10k to 7k per year?

Edit: I logged into my comenity account and the rewards terms and conditions section still says max of $500 cash back per year.

This might just be a mistake. Their site doesn’t show any changes

Yeah I’m starting to think their email had the wrong info.

I have the card. Nothing seems different. I think you might be mixing up the Daily Advantage with the Travel Advantage.

https://finance.aaa.com/credit-card

Footnote 2: “Offer is exclusive to AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature^(®) Credit Card holders…Maximum of $500 USD cash back earned in a calendar year at grocery stores, wholesale clubs and gas stations combined. After that, purchases will earn 1% cash back for the rest of the calendar year.”

Footnote 5: "Offer is exclusive to AAA Travel Advantage Visa Signature^(®) Credit Card holders…Maximum of $350 USD in cash back in a calendar year on the 5% category, and earn 1% cash back on all net eligible purchases afterwards.

@Brooklyn
My email shows in the footnotes:
> 3Offer is exclusive to AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature® Credit Card enrolled in the AAA Daily Advantage program. For offers linked to a specific category, earnings will be given if the merchant code for the purchase matches a category eligible for the offer. Each merchant gets a code from a third party that shows their area of business. Comenity Capital Bank can’t control how merchant codes are assigned. Maximum of $350 USD in cash back in a calendar year on the 5% category, and earn 1% cash back on all net eligible purchases afterwards. Excludes third-party insurance and offers, automobile extended warranties, and trip insurance. Cash back can be redeemed as statement credits, direct deposit, rewards and qualifying purchases at participating AAA locations.

I think comenity is a bit mixed up :smiley:.

@Ansel
I think you’re right about that.

@Ansel
I thought I replied, but maybe it didn’t go through.

Yeah I see an error. Someone there might have just copied and pasted the wrong info.

Here’s hoping it’s just a simple mistake. :slight_smile:

Sounds like a big cut to me

I got that email too, and it has grocery in both 5% and 3% categories, so it seems like they didn’t check it well enough??

Yeah, I noticed that too. I think you’re probably right - not the best proofreading.

If they offered me 8% for groceries I’d be okay with the lower cash back limit. Doesn’t seem likely though.

I received the same email! Feels like they cut back? For the 3% cash back category I can’t find wholesale clubs, streaming, and pharmacy in the email either.

Still seeing $500 on mine when checking the Rewards Terms & Conditions.

But, wouldn’t be shocked if they decided to cut it a bit.

I noticed it doesn’t mention wholesale clubs for 3%.

I saw that in the email too…let’s hope it’s just a mistake.
