I’ve heard CardMatch results are usually accurate, but I’m seeing 39 results despite having less than four months of credit history (almost 7 now, but that’s another story). Some results include desirable cards like Citi Premier, Double Cash, Custom Cash; U.S. Bank Altitude Go; Wells Fargo Active Cash; BoA Customized Cash Rewards, Unlimited Cash Rewards; and Discover it (which I already have). I’m unsure about my chances, especially since I’m not preapproved for any on their sites. Can I get some advice on these results?
CardMatch seems to be showing you quite a few options, which is great. Given your limited credit history of less than four months, it’s smart to be cautious about applying for cards with higher eligibility requirements. Look into cards that are known to accept applicants with shorter credit histories to improve your chances.
I’ve used CardMatch before, and I totally get where you’re coming from. When I had just a few months of credit history, I also saw a ton of card offers that seemed too good to be true. The thing is, CardMatch results are more of a suggestion rather than a guarantee. It’s great that you’re seeing desirable cards like Citi Premier and Double Cash, but keep in mind, the actual approval depends on the card issuers.
From my experience, it’s a good idea to apply for cards that align well with your current credit standing. When I applied for a card I wasn’t preapproved for, I didn’t get it, which was a bit of a bummer. So, if you’re not preapproved on their sites, your chances might be lower, but it’s not impossible.
